Lecture – Holy Cross: our only hope?

This Friday evening, Fr Matthew will give a talk on the topic: ‘Holy Cross: our only hope?’

Our church is named after the Holy Cross, and in our 200th anniversary year, this lecture will explore why the Cross has a central place in the life of every Christian, taking its cue from the line in the ancient hymn ‘Vexilla Regis’ which calls the Cross spes unica, our ‘only hope’. This is part of the programme for the Leicester Theological Society, which this year Fr Matthew is serving as President.

The lecture is at 7.30pm on Friday 10 January in the Frassati Centre (St Clement’s Hall at Holy Cross).
All welcome. Tickets are available on the door:
Lecture £5. Annual Subscription £15. Students free.
The lecture is followed by discussion and refreshments.
